What is gestational surrogacy?
By using the process called IVF (in-vitro fertilization) eggs are retrieved from the egg donor or intended mother's ovaries and then fertilized with sperm of the intended father or sperm donor. The embryo is then transferred to the gestational surrogate mother's uterus where she will carry the fetus term and deliver a baby for the intended parents.
Why choose a gestational surrogacy?
Adoption or childlessness was the only options in the past for infertility. Now we have other alternatives. Many couples choose this option so that they can have a baby that is genetically related to one or both of them.
